Music and Art: Influenced by the cultures


 Filipino piece of music and art have both been influenced by the cultures that have migrated to this nation. The in the beginning type of piece of music that developed in the Philippines was native piece of music brought here by native tribes that migrated from Taiwan.

There are three straightforward groups of native piece of music styles: southern styles, northern styles and other styles. The southern style of piece of music frequently involves five different instruments including the kulintang, the agung, the gangdinagan, the dabakan and the babedil.

The northern styles of native piece of music reflect Asian gong music. Their piece of music frequently facial appearance the unbossed gong called the Gangsa. In adding to the instruments used by southern and northern piece of music styles, other instruments used in the Philippines include log drums, flutes, bamboo zithers and the Kudyapi.
